"Hot and good..." so proclaims the sale of roasted chestnuts on the Portuguese streets. They are the protagonists of Magusto, a popular festival celebrated on 11 November, where, according to tradition, friends and family gather around the bonfire to live together with joy. This celebration is associated with the Legend of St. Martin, a benevolent knight who cut his cloak in two to offer it to a beggar. At that moment, the dark clouds disappeared and the sun appeared, and the good weather lasted three days. Now taste this dried fruit through this smoked liquor and subtly astringent. Drink it fresh. To your health!
